Use Mystery Shopping For Your Doctor’s Office

Mystery shopping is a useful tool in determining the level of customer service patients are receiving from their medical care providers. Going to see ones primary care physician or any other doctor is not necessarily something people look forward to and it takes a great deal of time to boot.

Oftentimes, the problems can be issues like sour to downright rude office staff, long wait times, crowded waiting rooms, even longer wait times once the patient is in the exam room, and cold hands instead of gentle and caring ones. Surprisingly, there can be a disconnect when it comes to having the patient disclose why he or she will not be coming back to that doctor or recommending that doctor to a friend.

Mystery shopping can give the owners of a medical practice or doctor’s office a patient’s eye view as to how they are treated and what exactly goes on once they arrive at the office. Using a variety of different technologies available to mystery shopping personnel, clients can see the visit through video equipment, or hear what happens through an audio recording – both of which can easily be hidden in the mystery shopper’s clothes or on a bag that the mystery shopper is carrying.

Mystery shopping is done when a shopper makes an appointment as a new patient, and she records the experience to review in depth later, whether it is by video, audio, or just by memorization alone. The shopper will create a detailed report about her experience after the mystery shopping visit has been completed. Medical mystery shopping professionals have special training, however – they know that when a real patient comes in with a medical emergency, to remove themselves from the situation and allow the real patient to be seen and taken care of.

Some of the items that the medical mystery shopper may take note of include:

First impressions of the front desk – cleanliness (when visiting), friendliness of staff, ease of scheduling an appointment, and how well the staff handled the phone call. How effective check-in procedures were. How clean the office was. The bedside manner of the doctor. How effective and efficient the nurses were during the visit. Amount of time they spent with the doctor. Doctors and other medical practitioners are in positions of care with their patients, and if a patient feels they are not being cared for, they will leave, without a word of why. When patients leave, the practice begins to lose money, and could close down. Mystery shopping will help identify the problem areas, so staff can work to improve them and keep patients satisfaction high.

Mystery shopping can help to give everyone a good idea as to what exactly goes on between the practitioner and his patients. Mystery shopping can give a doctor a feeling of being in the patients’ shoes, and better understand their experience.

How to Find the Best Divorce Attorney for Men

Some men may feel like the deck seems stacked against them going into a divorce. Perhaps that is based on what the world of movies and television shows us. When we watch in TV, it seems like the husband and father is never getting a fair shake with things and is always up against it.

While in reality, gender is not a factor in how courts determine family law issues, it is important to find the right attorney who is able to best represent you and your needs. When it comes to finding a divorce attorney for men then, what exactly should you be looking for?

Overall experience in the area of family law is always key, and specifically, the local regulations which vary from state to state. Knowledge of the law, including statutes and case law, as well as trial experience in the family courts is vital.

The divorce attorney for men whom you ultimately end up working with should also be able to offer guidance, assistance, and instruction for matters of behavior. This is actually one of the most important areas to consider.

You should find an attorney with whom you are comfortable communicating and with whom you can speak to about anything. Divorce is often one of the most stressful times of one’s life. Finding an attorney you feel that you can talk to can be extremely comforting.

Your attorney should provide quality legal assistance of course, but also be there to support you throughout your divorce and guide you as necessary to prevent making mistakes along the way. Therefore, looking for an attorney who is known for providing personal support, one on one service, and attention to detail, is important.

The best divorce attorney for men can provide you with different strategies and options for how to resolve your case. Sometimes litigation will be necessary. Other times, mediation may be the best way to resolve your issues. One key is therefore finding the attorney who is best suited to such different strategies and scenarios.

You don’t have to hire the first attorney you find in your local area. Consider speaking with several, or getting a recommendation or referral from a trusted friend or colleague. Remember that experience and communication are key, so look for a divorce attorney for men who knows the issues and has the knowhow to fight on your behalf and hopefully produce a positive outcome.

Fact vs Fiction – A Salt Water Pool Review

If you have been considering purchasing a new salt water pool or if you want to convert your existing chlorine system with a salt system, then you should consider a few common misconceptions. With the sudden popularity of these pools there are a lot of myths that have been propagated by owners and sellers alike.

No more worrying about pH levels.

Keeping salt pools clear of germs and algae requires a balance of germ killing chemicals. Chlorine is the primary disinfectant used in a pool. Many homeowners though find that they are needing to add more chlorine to effectively kill germs. This can be attributed to high pH levels. A balanced pH and alkaline level is essential to maintaining optimum chlorination. Not only that but pH levels will also affect the comfort of swimmers. Levels about 7.8 could lead to eye and skin irritation. Most pool owners convert to salt water pools because they are told they are maintenance free. This is not true. Balanced water is essential and this requires frequent testing.

You can taste both the salt and the chlorine.

A properly maintained salt water pool has a salinity level around 10 per cent of water from the ocean. Most salt water pool owners can attest to the fact that the water in a salt water pool is very similar to that of water that has been softened. Soft water has a better feel and is less harsh on skin and clothing. Salt water pools with the proper level of salt will not have a noticeable difference in taste.

Salt water pools don’t require maintenance.

New owners of salt water pools quickly discover that these systems do require maintenance. While you do not have to continually add chlorine as with standard pools you do need to maintain the chlorine generation cells. Most salt water pools use titanium plates that are electronically charged to turn salt water into chlorine. Calcium builds up in the ‘cells’ and must be cleaned. Failure to do so will result in reduced chlorine generation and your pool will no longer be able to fight off germs and algae. Maintaining proper salt levels will also shorten the life of the chlorine generation cells. So there are times when either water or additional salt will need to be added to the pool.

Salt water pools are cheaper then regular pools.

There is a lot of confusion on this point. So let’s clear things up. The cost savings on one of these pools is based primarily on how long you own the pool and how well it is maintained. This is because salt pools are initially more expensive to install. Over a short period of time a standard chlorine system is cheaper. However continued operation costs over the next couple of years will begin to surpass that of a salt water pool. Chlorinated pools are constantly losing chlorine. Sunlight, splash outs and inclement weather are usually reducing the amount of chlorine requiring the use of chlorine pucks and pool shock systems. These can be expensive and dangerous to handle. There are other costs associated with salt water pools. Replacing pave stones, pump parts and chlorine generators can be expensive. In the end salt water pools aren’t very cheap at all.

The Climates of Asia

Asia is the biggest continent in the world. Due to its great size and extensive area which it covers from North to South and from East to West, a wide variety of climates exist. The climates of Asia can broadly be divided into following types:

The Equatorial Climate

This climate is found in areas located very close to the equator. The climate is hot and humid all the year round with excessive rainfall. There is no dry season and the rainfall is equally distributed in all months of the year. This type of climate is also called the climate of three eighties i.e., 80 F ( 27 C ) temperature throughout the year, 80 in (2000 mm) or more total annual rainfall and 80% relative humidity throughout the year. This type of climate is found in Indonesia and Malaysia.

The Monsoon Climates

This type has a definite dry season and a definite wet season. The cooler season is dry while the hot season is very wet indeed. The best example is the monsoon of the Indian Sub-Continent. Mumbai for example records more than 2000mm (80 inches) of rain in a year but months from December to February are absolutely dry. During the summer season, warm and moist winds blow from the Indian ocean towards India which bring heavy rain. In the cooler months the wind direction is from the land towards the sea so the winds are drier and bring little or no rain. China also experiences this type of climate but the temperatures are cooler than those of Indian monsoon so it is called China type of monsoon.

The Desert Climates

These type of Climates are found in Central Asia, Saudi Arabia, Iran , North-West India and South-East Pakistan. Although the deserts of Central Asia like Gobi and Taklamakan lie outside the tropics , the excessive heat they face in summer make them similar to the deserts of the lower latitudes. All deserts have the same characteristic features: very low rainfall and extremes of temperature. The rainfall is generally les than 10 inches (250 mm ). The difference between the hottest and coldest month is great . At Luktchun 43 N 90 E in Central Asia mean temperature of the hottest month is 90 F ( 32.2 C ) which rather matches with the tropical deserts but the coldest month records 13 F ( -10.6 C) which is unthinkable in hotter deserts located in Arabia etc.

The Middle Latitude Grassland Climates

This type of climate is found in the west of Central Asia where Asia meets with Europe at Ural Mountains and on the fringes of Mongolia. The summers are warm , the winters cold with moderate rainfall falling mostly in the summer months. The summer temperature generally does not rise above 75 F ( 23 C ) but winters are quite cold with two to three months below 32 F ( 0 C ).

The Cold Temperate Climate

This type of climate is found at higher latitudes normally above 50 degrees North and have moderate to cool summers and very cold winters. Since these area are very far off from the nearby sea it has got extremes of temperature .The climate is so extreme that such type of extremes are not found anywhere else in the world. Typical example of this type of climate is Verkoyansk in Siberia which is located at 68 degrees North and 133 East . The temperature for the month of July at this station is 60 F ( 16 C ) whereas the temperate for January is -58 F (-50 C ) – a range of 118 F! The precipitation is a moderate 14.7 inches (373 mm) and is mostly in the form of snow.

The Artic or Tundra Climate

This type of climate occurs in the extreme north of the continent near the North Pole. The climate is extremely cold all the year round and no month is above 43 F ( 6 C ) so no plantation or vegetation can survive. Only Eskimos who have adapted themselves to this sort of harsh climate can survive in this climatic zone. They have special type of houses made of snow locally called igloos to keep them warm.

The Mediterranean Climate

This type of climate with hot dry summers and cool wet winters occur in Turkey, Syria and along the coastal areas of Israel and Lebanon. Istanbul in Turkey is the best example . The hottest month records 74 F ( 23 C ) , the coolest 43 ( 6 C) . Total annual rainfall is 29 in ( 736 mm) of which 20 inches occurs from November to March and the summers are very dry indeed .

This in short is a brief detail of different climatic zones found in the continent of Asia.

Tales of an Ancient Empire

It very well might have been 1982 in my living room that evening. Candles radiated a warm and comforting glow that lent a little mystery and magic to my ordinary domicile as the incense sparked to life and I slid the movie into the DVD player.

Could it be, after all these years, the miracle that was Netflix has brought home to me one of my most cherished childhood experiences? What would it look like 26 years after the memory of a young girl filed it away as one of the most magical and inspirational occurrences of her life?

I allowed my mind to wander as the player queued and I think I remembered the brilliant strength of the Hero, Talon, and his amazing sword of steel. I braced myself for the eerie beginning of a king and a witch who raise a sorcerer from his tomb, but mostly because I have chilling recollection of screaming faces and tortured souls that lined the coffin. This was the stuff that adventures were made of! This was the evil that spawned a hundred Dungeons and Dragons games…and I was immediately captured by the ‘Sword and the Sorcerer’ in the same way that I had always been.

I was a little girl again, in love with the Hero and wishing I were the woman he risked his life to be with for one night. I realized then how much the movie had influenced my writing as I grew into the process; how many games it inspired me to play along the way and how it set the bar for the fantasy worlds I would come to write.

The credits dwindled away and I watched every single one, of course. At the very end, when I knew it would be over, I saw a special message! Did they just say to watch for more of Talon’s adventures in ‘Tales of an Ancient Empire’?

I rushed to the internet, the glorious connection to all things great and small in the universe…And therein I found a special announcement. Albert Pyun, the original director of the ‘The Sword and the Sorcerer’ had indeed announced a special sequel, ‘Tales of an Ancient Empire’ to be released in 2010!

I don’t know what it’s about, and my only regret is that I didn’t have a chance to work on the project in any way. I do know, for sure, that I’ll be there with bells on. After all, two years is nothing after I’ve waited 26 for this occasion.

Power Tools History

Since the ancient Egyptians began using a hand-powered lathe centuries ago, man has striven to make arduous building and assembling tasks easier, quicker, and more efficient through power tools. We’ve come a long way from those sand-covered turning machines, but the end goal is no different from our desert-dwelling ancestors. Today, nearly every home in every industrialized country houses and uses power tools.

Even though the concept of the power tool has been around for a long time, it wasn’t until the late 1800’s when the first modern-era power tools became possible. The advent of electric motors made highly-efficient stationary and portable power tool technology a reality, and high-speed assembly lines made power tools both affordable and profitable.

The Bosch company was at the forefront of power tool technology in those early years. Founded in 1886 Germany by Robert Bosch, the company initially focused on automobile components with integrated electric parts, and was responsible for such developments as the first low-voltage magneto ignition. Before long, companies in other industrialized nations began developing the first electric power tools, and Bosch introduced its first power drill in 1932. Today, Bosch still engineers and manufactures automotive parts, and its power tool division has grown to include nearly every household and assembly tool on the market – including power drills, belt sanders, circular saws, and more. As part of the company’s growth, it has acquired other successful power tool manufacturers that started during the same early 20th century era.

In 1923, American inventor Raymond DeWalt introduced the world’s first radial arm saw, a sliding circular saw that could make long cuts with accuracy. One year later, he founded the DeWalt power tool company in Baltimore, Maryland; another company that has grown substantially over the last 85 years. At the forefront of portable power tool technology, DeWalt’s power tools are revered by carpenters and homeowners alike for their long-life, durable cordless battery-styled power drill, circular saws, and other power tools; and the company currently manufactures over 200 types of power tools worldwide.

Founded in 1915 in Japan, the Makita Corporation has also staked its reputation on cordless, battery-powered power tools – most notably, the hand-held drill, which Makita introduced in 1978. Nine years later, the company had a full arsenal of cordless, professional-grade power tools for contractors. Today, Makita manufactures over 350 different power tools, both portable and stationary, and the pronounced teal color emblazoned on all of their tools is often mimicked by others trying to capitalize on Makita’s reliable name.

The early 20th century proved to be a hotbed of power tool advancements, and many companies worked hard to develop profit-turning innovations that moved their products off store shelves and into people’s homes. While the term power tool traditionally conjures thoughts of electric drills and sanders, machines like the pipe threader and utility pump are also considered power tools. This is the area the Ridgid company focused on when it was founded in Elyria, Ohio, in 1923. Still a leader in the plumbing tool industry, Ridgid now has a power tool division that focuses exclusively on contemporary power tools and has released its own saws, drills, and even air tools.

A.F. Siebert founded the Milwaukee Electric Tool Company one year later in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Known for manufacturing heavy-duty power tools, Milwaukee is best know for the ‘Sawzall,’ one of the most widely-used reciprocating saws in the world. Like their power tool manufacturing competition, Milwaukee currently produces portable and stationary power tools like circular saws, drills, band saws, grinders and sanders – over 500 different models in all. Unlike their competition, many of Milwaukee’s power tools are released in both 120 and 230 volt models, drawing the line between household and commercial/industrial power.

Best known for the Skilsaw they invented in 1924, the Skil power tool company evolved out of the Michel Electric Handsaw Company when they entered the power tool market. Fueled by the ingenious circular saw invention, the company elevated itself to the upper echelon of the small power tool industry with jig saws, grinders, sanders, and a whole slew of handheld, cordless power tools. In 1996, the Bosch company purchased Skil but still keeps its power tools on shelves worldwide as one of the most popular power tool lines on Earth.

The Delta company has changed hands several times since it was founded by Herbert Tautz in 1919 in his Milwaukee, Wisconsin garage. Tautz focused on small tools but when Delta was purchased by Rockwell in 1945, the company made a profitable shift to the stationary tools – like planers and bench sanders – it’s renowned for today. Delta isn’t the only name this line has carried, however; Rockwell enveloped the company on takeover before selling it to Pentair, which re-introduced the Delta name before selling out to Black & Decker in 2004.

A veritable power tool power house, the Craftsman brand was coined by the Sears company in 1927. At first, the company primarily manufactured common hand tools like hammers and screwdrivers; but soon jumped on the power tool bandwagon and is now one of the top-selling producers of all power tools, both stationary and portable.

S. Duncan Black and Alonzo G. Decker founded the Black & Decker small machine shop in 1910 in Baltimore, Maryland; and the duo found their niche in the power tool industry by inventing the electric drill seven years later. The pistol-grip and trigger style drill became popular and is now a staple on construction sites and in households alike. Realizing the profit potential of power tools, Black & Decker has grown and acquired several other popular power tool brands, including DeWalt, Porter Cable, Delta, and Kwikset.

As industrialized nations become increasingly technology-driven, power tool production stands to increase as lightweight, powerful, and longer-lasting batteries try to match the power and reliability of corded power. Versatile contemporary models and thousands of accessories continue to make everything from woodworking to metal machining easier, more efficient, and more profitable for manufacturers, contractors, and homeowners alike. As power tools have become affordable for nearly everyone, only the hammer has resisted an electric redesign destined to change the way we work forever.

Role Of Technology In Education

In the current world, technology plays a very big role. With every new day a new software, gadget or program is introduced into the market that claims to improve our lives in one way or another. However, it is important to know that despite the fact that technology plays a vital role in making our lives comfortable, it is not the only role it has.

Technology is growing its role in the education field also. The more technology advances, the more advantages it provides for students at every level.

Technology in education:

We can use a lot of tools in our classrooms to help our students understand what they are being taught. For example, projectors and screens can be used for the students who are visual learners. These projection screens connected to computers can be put in classrooms so that the students see their notes as and listen to the instructor teach altogether. There are a number of sites like Wikipedia, Google etc. That are providing online solution for many academic problems.

There is a number of very useful software that can be used to help the class curriculum. Students can be provided with quizzes, tests, activities and sample questions that could help the student's progress with their learning process when they are not in the classroom.

Today, technology is being used to a good number of curriculum even those which do not belong to the technology and computers. Students make good use of computers to come up with presentations and also make good use of the internet to do research on different topics for their projects and papers.

Many students do parallel computer classes along with their education nowdays. This gives the guarantee that after completing their graduation, the students will not have any problems with using technology when they are out in their work or in their own business, which may help to make them more productive compared to a person who has no knowledge to A certain software or technology in school.

With the advancement in technology, students are getting more access to these types of educational opportunities. Every time something 'advanced' and 'new' is introduced into the market, the price of the existing technology goes down that makes it much more affordable in the educational set up even to those schools that might be having a lack of financial resources available to Them.

Technology has grown to such a point that it can even help kids who are yet to begin their school. There are many educational systems and video games for the small children which help them in getting ready for school and in many conditions also give them a good start on their education.

There are a number of people who thinks that technology 'spoils' children. For example, they say that instead of sitting down and learning to know how to count, they will use a calculator. In spite of the fact that there are people who are making these types of arguments, the technology still remains to be a very important part of the society we live in today. By introducing it into our schools and classrooms, we will make sure that the students are equipped with much greater tools and knowledge to make their transition from school to the workplace in a very easy one. We need to realize the truth, technology is a reality in the world today and it has become essential in each and every part of our lives and education has without a doubt not been left behind. It is very beneficial in providing more knowledge to all our students and also on making them productive in the job market.

Vintage Car Stereo Speakers

Music is the food for soul that arms us against all the distress and disasters that the world threatens us with. The dryness of urban life and the speed and the hazards of day to day living build inside us a thirst for a fresh breeze where we can breathe freely. But where is the time when we can indulge in something that the heart desires! We are always in a hurry. The extreme pressure and tension of work and other petty matters make us forget our own lives. After all, we are not machines, but human beings.

That is the feeling and philosophy that initiated the incorporation of music systems inside a car. Even within the very busy schedule of your daily life, you may spend a few temporary moments while traveling and while driving your car. Your car becomes the only place where you can relax and where you can taste the real flavor of life. This is the realization that led the Galvin Manufacturing Corporation to install a radio inside cars. Before that people used to carry their own domestic music system or radio system inside the car for pure fun and relaxed entertainment. The oldest form of car stereo speakers came to the market as Motorola 5T71. That was the first commercial form of car radio. This was priced in the range of $ 110 to $ 130.

The popularity of this model encouraged the original manufacturer and some others to develop the car stereo speaker system. To touch the popularity of Motorola at that time many companies introduced same sounding products like Victorola, and Radiola. And the vintage car music system as the form of jukeboxes came to the market as Rockola. Even in other spheres such as the film industry, the craze became contagious and they adopted the name Moviola for a film-editing machine.

The wind of change reached the international market. In 1932 a German company named Blaupunkt installed their first old form of car stereo speakers inside a Studebaker. In 1952 Blaupunkt became the first company again to install an FM receiver inside a car. This became another milestone in the development of car stereo speakers into its modern forms and specifications.

The vintage car stereo speakers used to use low configuration and low capacity models of transformers, vibrators, capacitors and amplifiers. With the introduction of 12 volt battery cars, the capacity of the fitted music system also increased. This saw the emergence of Ford's popular 'Town and Country' model. The installation of semiconductors facilitated the advancement from the old forms to the new forms of the car stereo speaker. In 1956 the first modern versions of car speakers hit the market when Motorola fitted a 45 rpm disc player inside a Chryslers car. The old reel to reel system of cassette player was also tried, but its popularity was limited because of its clumsiness. But this also took a step ahead when Philips introduced compact cassette in the market in 1964.

The vintage car stereo speakers were the simple home audio speakers. But as they were not suitable for extreme heat and vibration of the car, modified versions were introduced in the market. Extra audio amplifiers began to be used for high sound quality. The real competition began in 1980s when various manufacturers attempted to produce the loudest or the most extravagant car stereo speaker systems. Wayne Harris developed a vintage model of Cadillac Hearse in 1960 to incorporate three subwoofers of 24 inch and eight of 12 inch. The experimentation with sound quality began in 1990s with leading manufacturers like IASCA inviting the market.
